Daisy Ekineh is responsible for the Commission’s Operations Directorate. In this role, she oversees initiatives to deepen the Nigerian Capital Market and extend its scope. She joined the Commission in 1981 as a Research Officer, rose to the position of a Director before her appointment as an Executive Commission in June 2008.

A career public servant, she has served in various leadership capacities within the Commission over the last three decades and has been instrumental to the implementation of various reform initiatives in the course of the Commission’s evolution. Under her guidance and supervision, the Commission’s IT Steering Committee successfully implemented an e-processing platform for the Market.

She continues to serve the nation in various capacities; this is evident in her membership of The Technical  Subcommittee of the Bond Market Steering Committee; The Regulation and Capital Market Committee on Financial Sector Strategy 2020; The Nigerian Economic Summit Group; Ad-hoc Committee on Financing Privatization; The IOSCO Emerging Markets Committee; The Committee on the Establishment of Commodity Exchange in Nigeria and The African Capital Markets Forum (ACMF), where she currently serves as Secretary.

Daisy holds a B.A in Economics and an M.A. in Development Studies. Her understanding of market dynamics and inclusive overview of the industry landscape is an invaluable asset to the Commission.
