Aderonke Fatade’s experience in the financial services industry spans nearly three decades. She was an investment consultant prior to her appointment to the Board of the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Aderonke Fatade’s experience in the financial services industry spans nearly three decades. She was an investment consultant prior to her appointment to the Board of the Securities and Exchange Commission.

She started her career with the defunct African International Bank (AIB) Plc. in 1982. Over the next decade she worked in various Banks including Financial Merchant Bank and Abacus Merchant Bank (both now defunct). Thereafter she transited to the capital market and worked at Integrated Capital Services Limited for about three years. Between 2004 and 2005, she rendered legal and procurement consultancy services to the European Union Prime Project. She thereafter moved to head the Lagos Centre of the Investments and Securities Tribunal (IST) till June 2008 Fatade was awarded an LL.B (Hons.) by the University of Lagos in 1990 and was called to the Nigerian Bar in December 1991.

She received the degree of Master of Law (LL.M) in 2005 from the same University. She equally holds a B. Sc (Hons) degree in Agricultural Economics with emphasis on Business and Management from Oklahoma State University, Stillwater Oklahoma, USA and an MBA (Business and Management) from the Golden Gate University Graduate School of Business Administration, San Francisco, California, USA.
